Verbal Reasoning & English

Verbal Reasoning can feel overwhelming for both children and parents. I break down each question type into simple, manageable steps, teaching children how to identify patterns, apply strategies and approach questions with confidence. As understanding grows, so does speed and accuracy.

Non-Verbal Reasoning

Many children find Non-Verbal Reasoning unfamiliar because they've never encountered these question styles before. I teach children exactly what to look for, helping them recognise patterns, compare shapes and use logical thinking to solve questions confidently rather than relying on guesswork.

11+ and Year 6 Maths

Children in Years 5 and 6 who need to strengthen their maths foundations, close learning gaps and build confidence. Whether they're preparing for Year 6 SATs, the 11+ or simply need extra support, my lessons focus on understanding, problem-solving and helping every child feel capable of succeeding.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Sian.

I'm a qualified Primary Teacher with over 12 years of classroom experience and a specialist 11+ tutor, helping children develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in grammar school entrance exams.

I know how overwhelming the Key Stage 2 journey can feel for parents. Many come to me unsure where to start, worried their child is falling behind, or frustrated that revision at home is ending in stress rather than progress.

My approach is different.

Rather than rushing children through endless practice papers, I focus on building strong foundations first. By teaching children how to recognise patterns, apply strategies and think logically, they become more confident, independent and capable of tackling unfamiliar questions.

The result?

Children who understand what they're doing, rather than simply guessing their way through. Last year, (summer 2026) every one of my 11+ students was offered a school place or had moved within the grading descriptors.

Through weekly online group classes and specialist masterclasses, I help children prepare for Year 6 SATs, GL and CEM-style exams with confidence, while giving parents the reassurance that their child is receiving structured, expert support every step of the way.
